Boyd Exell notched up the “Top Score” in the Prize of Fa. Horsch, Der Entsorger

Several people and a team of horses are standing on a competition field at CHIO Aachen. On the left, there is a sign with the CHIO Aachen logo and the sponsor Horsch. A woman is holding a blue folder, a man in a suit is holding a horse rug, and another man stands in the center. In the background, more horses and participants can be seen.

The “Top Score” class in the Prize of Fa. Horsch, Der Entsorger is an exciting affair every year. Even if Boyd Exell (AUS) was unbeatable in the class again this year.

Precision, speed and above all the right tactics lead to success in the “Top Score” competition of the four-in-hand drivers. The teams have three minutes to collect points. Each obstacle is worth a certain amount of points depending on its level of difficulty. Each obstacle is only allowed to be driven through two times at the maximum. The drivers can choose their route at will in an attempt to achieve the top score. The team with the most points in the fastest time wins.

That was Boyd Exell, just like last year. The Australian driver also demonstrated that his team of four horses is in top form by winning the dressage yesterday with an immaculate performance. Today, they chose the best route through the obstacles and collected the most points, namely 1910 and the “Top Score”. Second place went to Belgium’s Glenn Geerts on a score of 1810 points, followed by the Hungarian driver, Péter Juhász, in third place (1790).
